Why sleep is important for you




Here is yet another article giving you reasons to stay warm and fuzzy in your beds this winter. The reason you search for reasons to sleep is that you want to sleep. If this assumption is correct, then it's sack time for you.

There are different kinds of sleep : the necessary sleep, which is part of your regular nightly regime, the siesta, when you can't handle a full day awake, and 5 minute naps, when you can't handle a minute awake.

Sleep is a good refresher. Every time I sleep while the sun is up, I feel rejuvenated from deep inside. It's like my memory did a complete refresh, clearing up all the cache and cookies and what not. 

Another reason is dreams. It's good to teleport to a different world with all the whackiness borrowed from your imagination, if just for a few hours. At least my slumberland is like that. Space travel, flying cars, ancient temples and shrines. I am sorry for your nightmares.

If you are debating whether to catch those 40 winks, you better catch them quick. Your body is saying you need rest, and sleep deprivation will not let you concentrate on your work. Just saying.
